Your farm has large fields that you can use however you'd like. Choose from dozens of crops and get to planting!
Pick up branches and stones, and get rid of trees and boulders that prevent you from clearing a patch of ground for planting. You'll use hammers to break boulders and axes to chop down trees.
After you've cleared your land, use a hoe to till the field and prepare it for planting. Each patch you till contains nine spaces. Note: You must use "field" Farm Circles in order to till the land to grow crops.
Spread seeds in the field you've tilled. Sowing seeds covers all nine spaces of a single patch of ground at once. If you want to remove the seeds you've planted, use your hoe.
Fill up your watering can and water your crops. You need to water your crops at least once every day, and if you water them twice, your crops will grow faster. Be careful—should you neglect your fields, your crops will eventually wilt and wither.
When your crops are fully grown, harvest 'em! Some crops require a sickle to harvest. Crops you have harvested will be put into your bag automatically.
Keep in mind that some crops can only grow during a particular season and will die if you try to grow them out of season.
You can also plant trees on your fields. They take more time to grow, but no watering is required. Once they're fully grown, certain kinds will periodically bear fruit you can harvest. Trees can be cleared with an axe.
Crops have qualities such as Color, Sweetness, Juiciness, and Size that have an effect on their shipping price. A good way to improve the quality of crops is to use different kinds of fertilizer. You spread fertilizer onto the field much like you would seeds, and there are even types you can mix with water to make "Liquid Fertilizer."
